Job Overview:
Teatron Toronto Jewish Theatre is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stage Manager with good communication skills to join our team for our upcoming stage production of The Chosen. The show is scheduled for September 16-26 at the Meridian Arts Centre, 5040 Yonge Street in Toronto. Rehearsals are Tues. and Thurs. evenings beginning June 25th until opening. As Stage Manager, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that all elements come together seamlessly. You will work closely with directors, performers, and technical staff to coordinate rehearsals and performances.

**Duties**:

- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the production process, from rehearsals to performances
- Create and maintain a detailed schedule for rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances
- Attend all rehearsals and take notes on blocking, cues, and other important details
- Communicate effectively with directors, performers, and technical staff to ensure smooth execution of the production
- Oversee set changes, prop placement, and other backstage activities during performances
- Manage the backstage area during performances to ensure a safe and efficient environment
- Assist with the coordination of costume changes and quick changes during performances
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proper lighting, sound, and other technical elements are executed as planned

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Stage Manager or similar role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $1,300.00-$1,500.00 per year
