**Landscape Maintenance Foreman/Woman**

**Reports to**: Division Manager

**Summary**:
The Landscape Maintenance Foreman/Woman is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of lawn and garden maintenance contracts. The landscape maintenance foreman/woman will be required to supervise a crew of 2-3 people, operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks, as well as provide daily progress reporting on job time and tasks completed.

**Job Duties**:

- Plan and manage the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM including all daily labor, equipment and materials required to complete daily objectives
- Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings, and perform other lawn care duties
- Prune trees, shrubs, and hedges up to 5 meters
- Move and install soil, mulch and plant material to assist with the building of landscape gardens and related areas
- Operate power equipment such as lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and chain saws
- Supervise the work of crew members to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity
- Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issues
- Train crew members on proper and safe job methods
- Conduct daily inspections of vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Complete and submit all required daily time tracking and job notes in app
- Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company PPE standards
- Comply with all company policies
- Communicate with customers in a friendly manner
- Keep truck, tools and equipment’s clean and well maintain
- Help to maintain locker cleanliness

**Requirements**:

- Completion of some college, vocational, or technical training
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the landscape maintenance industry
- Plant knowledge and identification, specifically trees, shrubs, and perennials
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Excellent observational skills and a strong attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Ability to follow safe working procedures
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Carry and use a smart phone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting

**Work Conditions**:

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, noise, and cold

**Pay**:

- $27-32 per hour, depending on experience
- Benefits package after 3 months
- Cell phone benefit
