Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Roller Skating Instructor to join our team. As a Roller Skating Instructor, you will be responsible for providing personalized roller skating lessons to children with special needs, focusing on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about roller skating and committed to educating others.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of the participant during roller skating lessons, following established safety protocols and guidelines.
- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to the specific needs and abilities of each participant, with adaptations for those with ASD.
- Teach proper roller skating techniques and safety skills, considering the unique learning styles and preferences of the participant.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, offering encouragement, constructive feedback, and positive reinforcement to enhance skill development and confidence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe skating area, including equipment setup and maintenance as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and caregivers regarding participant progress, goals, and any necessary accommodations.
- Willingness to travel to various sports facilities, fitness centers, and outdoor recreational areas **within Mississauga and Oakville; Newmarket and Aurora; or surrounding areas.**

Qualifications:

- **Previous experience** as a Roller Skating Instructor or in a related role preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in roller skating and comprehensive knowledge of various techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with participants, parents, and colleagues.
- Proven ability to work with individuals of all ages, including children, and adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin to facilitate communication with a diverse clientele.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Internship / Co-op

Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 10 per week
