Construction Site Supervisor

Interworks Contracting Ltd. is a General Contractor requiring a Construction Site Supervisor for various commercial projects within Alberta. The Site Supervisor will oversee the construction project from start to finish. They will monitor all activities at worksite and will complete hands on work as required. The Site Supervisor will supervise all workers and subcontractors on the worksite to ensure health and safety codes are observed and followed. They will ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the specifications required. Quality is a must.
**Responsibilities**:
Must be a working Site Supervisor - use tools and equipment required for the job task.
Always adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures, company, and OH&S.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, working under pressure or timelines, keeping quality of work front and center.
Managing project schedules, monitoring the progress of construction, ensuring all the necessary subcontractors and tools and equipment are available to complete the project on time.
Ensuring the project stays within the budget outlined for the job.
Supervising and instructing all workers and subcontractors on site.
Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
Inspecting the construction site regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards - materials, tools, and equipment.
Educating all site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol.
Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
Ensure all safety paperwork, sign in/sign out sheets, FLHA’s, inspections, toolbox meeting (once a week), are completed and signed off on daily.
Attend all training courses as required.
Attend all work-related safety meetings.
Willing to work in multiple location throughout Alberta.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Trade Certificate is beneficial.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Foreman, Site Supervisor or Superintendent is desired, however, persons looking to take the next step in their construction career may be considered.
Must have excellent organizational, written, listening and communication skills, work well with subcontractors and clients, have a positive attitude, and ability to focus and keep calm under pressure.
Must have knowledge of building codes and construction regulations.
Understanding of project budgets, timelines and quality of work.
Must be able to read blueprints and specifications.
Must be able to get the required security clearances.
Must have a valid driver’s license to travel to worksites.
Must be punctual, reliable, and motivated to work.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Time management and delegation skills.
