**What can I expect to do in this role?**: On a rotating shift basis, in a 24/7 operation environment, you will:

- manage traffic on provincial highways within the central region
- improve traffic flow safety and efficiency by operating COMPASS, an incident response environment including a two-way radio system with dispatch console and incident management systems

**How do I qualify?**:
**Business Knowledge**:

- you have experience with incident and emergency response
- you have knowledge of and experience in Advanced Traffic Management Systems
- you have experience with emergency dispatch/radio systems
- you have knowledge of freeway and highway maintenance and construction practices and procedures

**Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**:

- you are able to analyze and problem solve to anticipate problems based on the nature of the incident
- you can analyze and report on traffic incidents
- you are able to assess and implement appropriate services for traffic management

**Communication and Interpersonal Skills**:

- you can communicate in a clear and concise manner
- you are able to build and maintain effective working relationships
- you are able to identify relevant facts in logical order
- you are able to prioritize and exercise tact and judgment in stressful situations
