Intermediate Business Analyst - Contract position in Vancouver (Remote):

**Role Description**:

- The Intermediate Business Analyst will be a key member of the Pager Retirement Project, within the Technology Alignment Portfolio.
- The objective is to ensure the Pager Retirement project is delivered on time, on budget, and meets the quality, services, and transformation objectives.
- Working closely with various project team members, the Business Analyst will primarily assist site engagement sessions by documenting requirements, workflows, and processes with the current pager users and requesters of paging services.
- These pager users include physicians, residents, clinicians and other stakeholders.
- Under the direction and support of the site-specific Project Manager and Senior BA’s, the intermediate Business Analyst will be responsible for the engagement and support of individual departments implementation of their pager retirement solution as well as their post go live support activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develops or assists in the development of design templates, test scripts, and other tactical documents in support of the site and department implementation phases and sessions.
- Organizes and schedules meetings with department managers, department primary point of contact and other relevant department stakeholders as per the identified project implementation and site schedule or as otherwise directed.
- Collects, documents and tracks relevant pager retirement business requirements, workflows and processes during department specific engagement sessions.
- Documents meeting minutes, tracks action items, records risks and issues for each of the department and reports to Sr. Business Analysts and Project Managers for escalation.
- Following a standard guide, completes hands on mobile device setup and testing prior to handing over to the end users
- Virtual and on-site support of department and site go-lives, and post go-live activities.
- Works with health organizations and technical teams from multiple organizations, including IMITS, Technology Services, Vendors and the health authorities.
- Documents status updates and presents to Sr. Business Analyst and Project Manager on a regular basis.
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, while working independently to organize workload, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Perform other Pager Retirement project activities as required

**Requirements**:

- A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Clinical Informatics, or related discipline, plus a minimum of two (2) years recent related experience in health care or information management.
- Knowledge and demonstrated success in clinical workflow analysis or process redesign.
- Demonstrated ability to use database, spreadsheet and word processing software at an advanced level.
- Change management experience considered a strong asset.
- Superior analytical skills including the ability to comprehend, analyze and resolve complex issues and present information in concise meaningful ways.
- Develops positive relationships with business, technical, and project stakeholders to enable successful project and strategy delivery.
- Work experience within British Columbia’s health care systems is a requirement.
- Customer and service-focused in approach.
- Hands on experience support in a clinical environment a plus.

**Special Considerations**:

- Provide recommendations on design and planning of our client’s network
- Install and configure network hardware and related software
- Document, implement and maintain network standards, making any upgrades or changes
- Support network security by configuring network devices according to security
- Must be local and be available to provide on-site engagement and support across the lower mainland
- Must have knowledge and understanding of healthcare clinical and/or business operations, workflows and practices.
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral), ability to translate technical to non-technical audiences.
- Must be able to work independently to solve problems.
- Demonstrated capability in executing complex IMIT solution strategies and implementations.
- Demonstrated capability in handling sensitive and challenging situations.
- Demonstrated experience working in Health Authority environment.
