**This is a 8 week contract position for 35 hours per week in Wetaskiwin, Camrose, and surrounding area. This contract has an end date of September 2, 2023.**

**Job Summary**:
If you have experience working in early childhood development, as a child and youth worker, as a community disability worker, or in other human service programs, this may be the employment opportunity you are looking for As a role model for children and youth, you must have the capacity to research activities that reflect their needs to be involved in the community. With support from staff, you will plan various social, recreational, and fun events for children and adults with disabilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, coordinate, and deliver a program to children and adults with disabilities
- Help plan and support caregiver support groups for families impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
- Assist adults with developmental disabilities with their day-to-day needs
- Special projects include file management systems and data entry
- Assist in promoting positive public relations at community events
- Attend staff meetings and participate in staff development training
- Other administrative duties

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 education (or equivalent)
- Further education in Disability Services, Early Childhood Development, Child and Youth Care, or Education is considered an asset
- Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, behavior, & mental health
- Vulnerable sector record check from local RCMP or City Police
- Child Intervention Check
- Clear and current driver's abstract
- A vehicle and valid Class 5 driver's license - requirement to transport clients in your personal vehicle
- Proof of vehicle insurance showing $2 million liability coverage

The salary for this position is **$18.00** per hour.
