**POSITION FUNCTIONS**:

- Prepare paperwork for the Call Centre and perform daily reconciliation of cash fares submitted by accessible transit operators.
- Record and post approved invoices to the general ledger in the Sage50 Accounting system.
- Reconcile vendor statements, maintain vendor accounts and follow-up with invoice discrepancies.
- Reconcile and record monthly visa statements.
- Generate payment reports and schedule direct deposits to vendors using RBC Express and Sag50.
- Assist with month/year-end reconciliations in balancing all journals and provide necessary assistance with the external annual audit.
- Perform related clerical duties including mail, filing paid invoices, backup paperwork, setting up files and preparing boxes for storage.
- Responsible for ordering office supplies and other items as required.
- Set up, balance, and post bank deposits in Sage 50, to be brought to the Royal Bank on a weekly basis.
- Backup support for Accounts Receivable as required.
- Responsible for complying with the policies of the company and maintaining a work area free from obstruction and that does not hinder the safety or health of themselves or fellow employees.
- Responsible for compliance with Section 28 of the OHSA reporting to Supervisor any health and safety concerns or hazards in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**POSTION REQUIREMENTS**:

- 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting position specific to accounts payable.
- Working knowledge of Sage50 Accounting (previously Simply Accounting).
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Must possess a valid G driver’s license, initiative, good judgment, and be able to work independently with mínimal direction.
- Demonstrated business and administrative experience normally acquired through a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Experience in a computerized environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, and Outlook) with the ability to input, retrieve and manipulate data.
- Knowledge of Trapeze PASS is considered an asset for backup functions.
- Effective verbal, listening, and problem solving, organization, and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
