Parks Information Officer

**Alberta Parks is hiring seasonal Park Information Officers in the Central Region for the 2023 camping season.**

Information Officers (IOs) are the first point of contact for visitors at Provincial Parks. Their role in the permit booth is to create a positive experience for visitors by providing useful and timely information around park activities, rules and regulations, and nearby amenities with a focus on front-line customer service, cash handling, and administration, this seasonal position is perfect for people who are interested in gaining administrative and cash handling experience in a unique setting.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain campground booth operations
- Provide Information services relating to the Provincial Park and Central Region as a whole - Provide education and public safety advice
- Perform administrative duties associated with the campground facilities to ensure efficient operation
- Uphold occupational health and safety responsibilities

**Locations**: Alberta Parks Central Region spans from BC to Saskatchewan across central Alberta and encompasses many Provincial Parks and Provincial Recreation Areas. Possible work locations are; Aspen Beach, Carson-Pegasus, Crimson Lake, Dillberry Lake, Miquelon Lake, Pierre Grey’s Lakes, Pigeon Lake, Red Lodge, and William A. Switzer Provincial Parks

**Salary**: $19.64 - $23.90 per hour Wage employees receive 11.2% in addition to regular wage earnings in lieu of benefits and vacation leave. 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays. 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay.
