We are looking for an experienced and motivated CAD Technician to produce computer aided permit drawings for Telecom projects in Ontario, Canada. Please note this will be primarily a virtual, work from home position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparing telecommunication permit drawings of underground and aerial network facilities.
- Create CAD drawings from concept stage to final design. This includes but is not limited to municipal consent drawings, aerial hydro attachment drawings, construction drawings, and speciality permit drawings.
- Creating drawings in software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Visio, SpatialNET, and ArcGIS.
- Participating in meetings with key-stakeholders to ensure the successful outcomes of a project.
- Reviewing as-built records to ensure compliance with original design.
- Following company standards and procedures related to Health & Safety while performing assigned job duties.
- Ensuring scheduled deadlines are adhered to and project deliverables are maintained.
- Reading and interpreting outside plant records (data, maps, fibre network designs)
- Maintain knowledge of current telecommunication design principles and industry standards, and perform in compliance with updated Safety Codes, Electric Codes, and client standards.
- Collaborating with team members at all levels to overcome project challenges.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum College diploma in Civil Engineering, GIS or similar.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working within telecommunications fibre and coax network design.
- Knowledge of municipal permitting requirements, and utility standards.
- Knowledge of telecommunication construction and engineering practices, documents, specifications, and methodologies.
- Organized and self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders to meet the needs of the client.
- Willing to contribute actively to team discussions, sharing experiences and ideas.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and a strong ability to multitask.
