**Site Solar Superintendent**

Akamihk Kanataskiy Ventures (AKV) Limited works directly with leading industry partners to implement professional and technical services. AKV is building growth opportunities in all the key markets that it serves.

As an AKV Site Solar Superintendent you will be responsible for planning construction projects and overseeing their progress from finish to start in a timely and cost effective and making sure that the project is being executed to quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will include budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects. You will ensure that all construction activities align with the established timeline and budget.

Your expertise in project management will be crucial in coordinating resources, resolving any issues that may arise, and delivering successful construction projects.

**Site Superintendent Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Ensure that the Inspection, test plan, and quality records are managed well.
- Benchmarking energy consumption against best practice guidelines
- Conducting site inspections and completing energy surveys.
- Collecting, monitoring data, and keeping accurate records
- Creating policies and systems.
- Sharing advice and providing training on energy efficiency
- Review the project in depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Knowledge of safety manuals and ensures compliance, and enforces all rules, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Representing company at client meetings as and when requested.
- Work closely with the safety management team and ensure the safety program is always followed.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Review the work progress daily and ensure that daily tailgate meetings are held, and safety procedures are followed.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms for agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
- Analyse, manager and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

**Requirements**:

- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proven working experience in construction management.
- Some experience working in electrical and solar industry.
- Some experience with ground mounted solar system is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and OSDA requirements.
- Managing solar teams that deliver quality and on time results.
- Advance knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.
- Knowledge of civil/earthworks, drainage system, rough grading
- BSc Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
- Certification in occupations health and safety is a plus.
- Exceptional knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Familiar with construction management software packages.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Demonstration of the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Require 3+ years’ experience in health, safety and/or environment with 3+ years of industry experience with a good safety record.
- Solar experience is an asset, but not necessary.
- Effective communication skills
- Strong computer skills and adept at learning new software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
