TBC is seeking to hire a Full Time Faculty-Program Coordinator for our Cyber Security program. The Full Time Faculty-Program Coordinator plays an important academic leadership role that is critical to program sustainability and student success. As the program champion, the coordinator facilitates key academic and operational processes, working collaboratively with the Dean, Academic Lead, faculty and support areas.

**Courses within the program include**:

- Computer Network Design and Implementation
- Cyber-Security Principles and Best Practices in Canada
- Information Security Fundamentals
- Introduction to Computer Programming
- Introduction to Networking and Data Communication
- Cloud Security
- Cryptography and Data Encryption
- Implementing Security Policies in Operating Systems
- Wireless Communication and Mobile Security
- eCommerce and Web Security

**Qualifications**:

- Master's or Ph.D. degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience; facilitating learning at the postsecondary / adult level demonstrating a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning is a strong asset.
- Theoretically and practically comfortable with the requisite hardware, software, and networking equipment used in lab settings.
- Excellent grounding in best practice and emerging knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the field.
- A commitment to lifelong learning in the field.
- A proven ability to work within a collaborative environment, demonstrating flexibility.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Advanced computer literacy and a demonstrated willingness to acquire and use learning tools (such as the college’s LMS) commensurate with departmental requirements.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and problem-solving, conflict and stress management skills.
- Certifications in cybersecurity such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH (an asset).
- Teaching experience (an asset).

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct classroom teaching according to the schedule including Applied Industry Project.
- Collaborate with the Dean on School-related activities and contribute ideas on academic strategies.
- Collaborate with student success teams to create and execute support initiatives and communication plans for high-risk students.
- Take part in annual curriculum updates and, as an expert in the program's content, offer input on workload assignments.
- Review course materials, such as handouts and slides, in your area of expertise.
- Ensure faculty members under your supervision adhere to the Standards of Teaching Practice.
- Conduct program meetings with faculty and organize two professional development sessions per semester.
- The coordinator provides guidance and support to faculty members in addressing alleged academic integrity violations. Faculty members will report any alleged infractions, and the coordinator will facilitate the process and escalate any breaches of academic integrity to the Dean.
- Collaborate with faculty and students to resolve any issues that arise.
- Monitor the teaching performance of all new faculty members during their first semester through mandatory classroom observations and conduct one classroom observation per academic year for existing faculty members.
- Assist students in creating an educational plan that aligns with their career goals and abilities.
- Provide students with opportunities to assess and reassess their advancement towards their objectives.
- Initiates program meetings with student representation for open dialogue on student needs & program requirement.
- Collaborates with the Program Advisory Committee to establish a plan for the semester.
- Guarantees that your team is equipped with the essential tools and resources to efficiently implement assigned programs. Submits a list of necessary resources to IT within the first two weeks of the semester.
