**Responsibilities**

**1. Lead a team of staff**
- Collaborate and communicate with team members and actively participate in the team
- Guide the staff at your site to ensure smooth operations, following of camp safety procedures, problem solving and conflict management, maintaining cleanliness of area and equipment
- Monitor leader behaviour and expectations and provide guidance when needed
- Role model positive behaviour and be the main point of contact on site
- Coordinate the group of volunteers
- All of this in addition to regular camp roles

**2. Program Planning and Implementation**
- Assist with planning and coordination of programming and special activities
- Promptly address incidents, problems, behavioural issues and parental concerns
- Interact with parents and caregivers to provide support and feedback
- Use good judgement and respond professionally to resolve problems and conflicts
- Come up with camper incentives to encourage positive behaviour

**3. Administration**
- Check program materials each week to ensure there is enough for each child
- Review all program forms for campers and ensure staff is aware of camper needs
- Make sure incident forms and behavioural management forms are completed as necessary
- Ensure paperwork for volunteers is available along with t-shirts and appreciation gifts
- Provide first aid as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**Hours**
- Camp will run for 7 weeks
- Mandatory training days and program preparation during the months of May -June
- Must be available Monday to Friday from 8am - 5pm beginning July 2nd until August 23rd
- Working 30-40 hours a week depending on location
- Additional hours may be required for special events, program supervision and preparation
- Employment is conditional on meeting minimum registration numbers
- Program will not operate July 1 and August 5-9th

**Requirements**:

- Are enrolled in post-secondary education in health sciences or related field
- Have a minimum of 1 year experience working with a camp or children’s programming
- Have experience working in leadership roles and project management (not required but an asset)
- Have valid CPR level C and Standard First Aid (or willing to obtain this by June 1st)
- Can provide a satisfactory Police Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector) issued after March 1, 2024.
- Have access to reliable personal transportation
- Can provide references upon request
