Our organization is seeking an experienced and motivated Business and Audit Analyst to join our team. The Analyst will provide operational support to the ABEX Underwriting teams. This role is critical in ensuring we deliver tailored Insurance solutions protecting against the effects of damage to commercial property and assets, loss of income due to unforeseen incidents or damages to third parties. This position is essential in ensuring we meet or surpass service standards to our brokers. This role is a phenomenal entry point for anyone looking to build a career in the Insurance industry

Business Processing Functions:

- Review new business submissions and prepare quote sheets or risk reviews for underwriter review and approval.
- Issue, endorse, renew or cancel policies following underwriting guidelines, contractual guidelines, and applicable laws.
- Provide certificates of insurance to brokers as per established guidelines. Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly. Support the underwriting team in completing sales by assisting with requests and other administrative duties.
- Filing and document management.
- Manage relationships with retail brokers and follow up on any outstanding information needed to complete the underwriting file.
- Assist with customer and broker inquiries; including payment processing where applicable.
- Input and update client data into customer management system
- Manage activities in system by following up on open activities and closing activities upon completion of required assignment
- Respond to client enquiries and requests in a prompt and professional manner
- The ability to respond to changing demands to ensure the quality and accuracy of all tasks are adhered to
- Adhere to company and regulatory policies and procedures with mandatory training & licensing requirements

Business Audit Functions:

- Support regional underwriting file audits
- Support the market underwriting audit process
- Be the key contact for setting up Auditor system access & hardware support in Canada
- Communicate with markets on adjustments required for market reporting processes
- Delivery of reports and analytics to all teams
- Analyze raw data to provide business insight

Skills Required:

- Strong judgment, instinct and decision-making skills
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity at all times
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate respect and understanding for others in the organization
- Highly organized with the ability to multi task while paying attention to detail
- Adept at prioritizing workload matched with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Strong need for documentation, recording and maintenance of meticulous records
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Broker Management Systems
