**OVERVIEW**:
Reporting to the Controller, The Inventory Control Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing control and analysis of store audit results, ensuring timely and thorough review of audit findings, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce losses. This role is instrumental in optimizing inventory management processes and safeguarding Company merchandise.

**This is a hybrid opportunity with a requirement to work in the office three (3) days per week.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct thorough analysis of store audit results to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Attend physical inventory counts, ensures accuracy and reliability of inventory data.
- Provide detailed analysis of completed counts to facilitate timely chargeback to Operators for audit adjustments.
- Validate the effectiveness of store audit processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Review and analyze submissions of bad/stale dated merchandise by Operators, ensuring proper coding and chargeback procedures are followed.
- Liaise with Category Managers to charge back vendors for bad/stale dated merchandise as per contract provisions.
- Collaborate with Category Managers on stock monitoring and ordering strategies to reduce losses from bad/stale merchandise, particularly in Food Services/Dairy.
- Attend store closures to ensure proper inventory controls are followed and provide oversight for inventory transfer processes.
- Provide planning, process management, and oversight for inventory transfer during site closures to minimize losses.
- Plays a lead role in the entry, review and follow-ups of inventory transactions in the Company ERP software, including uploading, reviewing and correcting merchandise counts adjustments, transfers, receiving, and other entries which impact or may impact inventory.

**EDUCATION & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, auditing, or related roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Previous experience in retail or similar industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices and audit procedures.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to inventory counts (personal vehicle required)
- Bilingual in both official languages is an asset

**PREFERRRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Certification in Inventory Management or Audit (e.g., CPIM, CIA) is considered an asset.
- Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with retail operations and inventory control processes.
