**How You’ll Make a Difference**

Personal injury claims can be complex and confusing and rely heavily on having clear evidence and documentation of the effect the injury or accident has had on a person’s life. The **Records and Information **team** **are the extra pair of hands that everyone in our office needs, working closely with Legal Assistants and Client Care Specialists to request and retrieve client documents and information. They provide reliable administrative support and work collaboratively together to ensure all requests are completed as efficiently as possible. As the Records and Information Coach, you will support the team and lead them to success.

**A day in the life includes**:

- Coach the Records and Information team of ~5 people and growing
- Offer innovation and process improvement within the department; contribute to firm-wide improvements to processes and change management
- Oversee the records acquisition process from start to finish, ensuring the timely receipt of records required for effective file management
- Coach, mentor, and train team members; identify development opportunities and tools required to ensure team success
- Lead one-on-one meetings with each team member every two weeks
- Work closely with the VP, Operations to understand the objectives of the team as well as the overall business, and be able to support communication to team members about those objectives
- Monitor team progress based on established KPIs and other reporting measures
- Provide assistance to team members as needed, including task list support and escalated calls or requests
- Foster strong relationships with document providers and support team members in doing the same

**Who You Are**:

- Have experience leading a small to medium sized team
- Can build positive relationships with third parties and team members
- Pride yourself on exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Are open to change and continuous improvement
- Handle sensitive third-party situations with empathy, tact, and discretion
- Have been complimented on your excellent communication skills
- Can work effectively and efficiently with integrity under pressure
- Recognize and value the importance and impact of teamwork within an integrated workforce
- Have experience in records acquisition, health information management, Freedom of Information and Privacy, and/or Release of Information (beneficial, not required)
- You are invested in your own personal and professional growth and are a lifelong learner
