**What you will work on**

At Harbour Cruises, as a **Deckhand,** you will focus on efficiently and safely operating our three core vessels - up to 400 passenger capacity. The **Deckhand** will assist the operations and abide by Transport Canada regulations. This role will be integral to ensure the safety and security of both crew and passengers alike. The **Deckhand** will also be responsible for maintaining and facilities and equipment pertaining the marina and vessels respectively. The position takes pride in taking ownership of the overall health and appearance of our Marinas.

As the **Deckhand** at Harbour Cruises, you’ll get to:

- Prepare all three vessels and floating docks’ daily operations and functionality
- Safely and efficiently moor lines during vessel operations, and maneuvering our Marinas
- Perform functions required by Transport Canada, adhering to all regulations and policies
- Maintain valid and upkeep of any training and certifications required to carry out duties as assisgned
- Familiar with emergency procedures, and execution of any plans and gear as required
- Maintain immaculate, clean, presentable and consistent workspaces (Vessels, docks, gangways etc)
- Participant in any Fire Drills, vessel familiarizations, marine first aid and other safety training
- An excellent communicator, putting safety as a priority at all times
- Report any concerns, deficiencies, follow ups regarding Marina operations to our Maintenance & Moorage department
- Complete all other duties as assigned

**What you will bring to the team**
- Previous experience working in a dockhand or related role.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong desire for continuous positive change
- Quality decision-making skills, ability to use good judgment
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced working environment
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to carry out duties that require physically transporting up to 50lbs
- Continually and repeatedly perform functions outdoors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $17.40-$19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

**Experience**:
