Wood's Homes is looking for one full-time Supervisor to join our Community Group Care Program in Lethbridge.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for the overall accountability, promotion, development, and coordination of activities across the 24-hour child and youth residential program. The primary responsibility of all management positions at Wood’s Homes is to provide strong leadership towards implementation of activities related to being exceptional in the delivery of high-quality services, fidelity to clinical models and demonstrating commitment to the Health and Safety Management System across the organization and within their respective area.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads and develops programs within the mission and values of Wood’s Homes and in accordance with agency Policies and Procedures, Collective Agreement, Accreditation Standards, etc.
- Provide weekly supervision, staff training, evaluation, recruitment, and disciplinary action necessary within the guidelines set by Senior Management to all program staff.
- Ensures that approved clinical case management and record keeping procedures are practiced according to Wood’s quality improvement guidelines.
- Assists/advises Managers, Supervisors and Programs with day-to-day operations as needed and shares regular on-call responsibilities for the agency.
- Regularly reviews all treatment interventions and case management used in the provision of treatment.
- Assumes responsibility for the development, review, and adherence of the program budget.
- Establishes and maintains good relationship with Children and Family Services as the partner and funder.
- Ensures that all communication material and information pertaining to programs are current and of excellent quality.
- Executes other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Programs.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Social Sciences or related field at the undergraduate level required (graduate preferred).
- Current proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
- Full class 5 driver’s license or class 5 GDL driver’s license with $2 million liability insurance.
- Drivers Abstract with no more than 6 demerits.
- Experience working with young people and families.
- Experience with supervising and managing staff.
