**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Senior Plant Operating Planning Specialist for Raw Materials, Cocoa, and Transitory Flows; the Plant Operating Planning Specialist will be responsible for ensuring management and on time delivery of the supply of raw materials to guarantee the execution of the production schedule. The Plant Operating Planning specialist will also support Cocoa UGP planning and transitory flows with other Ferrero Plants.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- DELIVERY OF MATERIALS- Review production forecast weekly and prepare purchase requisition for materials required to meet production needs. In cases where no requisition is required, send the forecast and volumes to procurement to create buy contracts.
- Schedule packaging and/or Raw Materials with the suppliers (delivery times) call offs.
- Ensure ordered materials arrive within time periods and quantities agreed upon.
- Guarantee acceptance of materials into warehouse.
- Establish and monitor the warehouse inventory levels.
- Ensure orders are placed considering/respecting MOQ and lead time wherever possible.
- INVENTORY- Maintain inventory levels in target with department and group KPI’s.
- Investigate adjustments and track and measure stock outs.
- Report any strange consumptions +/- to controlling/local documentation for model corrections.
- Manage bulk silo’s together with production, ensuring no stock outs.
- SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP- Develop and maintain a strong positive rapport with all suppliers & Ferrero Procurement.
- Responsible for the forecasting of raw materials.
- Responsible to expedite/anticipate/postpone/ materials as needed.
- Ensure scheduling agreement quantities are met, and all Ferrero inventory is accounted for and received.
- WAREHOUSE SUPPORT- Support Warehouse staff with questions and issues regarding incoming shipments.
- Ensure scheduled lines & SA’s are open and accurate for receiving.
- Communicate heavy inbound periods in advance to allow warehouse to strategize when capacity is reached.
- Support maintaining current warehouse capacity and help analyze future capacity needs of the plant.
- QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY- Ensure all program requirements/standards regarding quality and food safety are implemented, practiced, and maintained.
- Monitor freshness and aging of raw materials.
**Who we are looking for**:
- Competency using ERP, MRP and material planning software packages + Production Scheduling software & systems (SAP/APO).
- Proficiency (INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCE) in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
- Solid understanding of forecasting and inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills/excellence with numbers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment.
- Commitment to change using a continuous Improvement approach.
- Strong communication skills in a team environment.
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining strong sense of urgency and focus on service.
- Previous vendor facing or procurement experience considered an asset.
