We’re looking for our next experienced **Nutrition Services Specialist **to join our Nutrition Services team. Reporting to the Manager, Nutrition Services, you’ll become an expert in MealSuite’s foodservice management systems with respect to food and nutrition data.

**A day in the life as a Nutrition Services Specialist**:

- Complete assigned menu services projects related to menus, recipes, and foods utilizing established industry standard practices and MealSuite systems expertise
- Develop menus and perform nutrient analysis inclusive of therapeutic and texture-modified diets for long term care, senior living, and acute care environments using culinary and menu development expertise
- Update menu and recipe texture-modified extensions to align with IDDSI guidelines
- Perform recipe quality assurance analysis utilizing culinary principles and MealSuite recipe standards to ensure accuracy and standardization of MealSuite system core recipes
- Assist customers in data set-up relative to therapeutic and texture-modified diets utilizing knowledge of industry standard dietary practices and MealSuite systems expertise
- Provide customer training and support as necessary
- Assist in development of internal and external data management resources
- Follow data management procedures to maintain data integrity

**In the first 6-12 months, you’ll be successful at reaching these milestones**:

- Become an expert in MealSuite’s foodservice management systems with respect to food and nutrition data and flow throughout the system
- Evaluate current data standards and processes and make recommendations for improvement based on your experience in the field
- Successfully troubleshoot customer issues and make best practice recommendations

**If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, then this role could be for you**:

- I have knowledge of therapeutic and texture-modified diets
- I gained my knowledge through formal education plus several years of experience in long-term care, senior living, and/or acute care foodservice
- I have experience using dietary / foodservice software
- I am an RD or Dietetic Technician or have a related designation
- I have exceptional attention to detail and value the importance of data integrity
- I am autonomous and can prioritize and complete my work accurately and on time
- I’m capable of making logical decisions, using sound judgment and rationale and exercising critical thinking and analytical skills
- I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA (and Vietnam if required for role).
- I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
- I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
