**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial vision and our efforts to deliver on our goals, as we continue to grow and expand our business in North America and beyond to become the undisputed North American leader in Regulatory Information Software (RIS).**Responsibilities**:

- Drive the company’s strategic financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Work with department heads to allocate company funds to ensure each department can operate at an optimal level.
- Devise and deliver regular reliable financial reporting, forecasting, and key metrics to monitor and manage the financial health of the organization.
- Assess and manage the financial and organizational risks related to the organization’s liquidity, cash, liabilities, and investments.
- Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure (and regularly maintain Thentia’s Cap Table).
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.
- Contribute to product pricing and revenue growth strategies to acquire market share, and over time, to improve organizational profitability.
- Build, guide, and manage the finance and accounting team.
- Establish and manage key operating policies and processes, in partnership with the leadership team and financial controller to ensure scalable management practices, maximizing productivity and ensuring financial controls are in place to protect company assets.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure strong partnerships and favorable terms for the company.
- Set up and oversee the company’s finance technology and operating system, in partnership with our technology team.
- Ensure compliance with the relevant laws and company’s policies.
- Liaise with tax advisors providing required information

**Qualifications**:

- CPA is a must, coupled with BSc/BA in Accounting or Finance; MSc/MBA is beneficial.
- Must have demonstrated track-record of success as a CFO in SaaS / software / technology organizations.
- Experience with scaling software organizations with a magnitude of low to high $XXM.
- Must have prior experience leading fundraising efforts in C or higher levels, and ideally experience with both private and ‘pre-IPO to public’ companies
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate board level and leadership team level strategic planning.
- Expertise in interacting and facilitating relationships with stakeholders including the Board, Leadership Team, and investors.
- Strong work ethic, and leadership and organizational skills, and strategic problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and people skills
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
