**Job Summary**

**Main Responsibilities**

**Railway Liaison**
- Attend meetings and report new and existing crossings, grade separations, local safety concerns, anti-whistling, utility crossings, fencing, and industrial clients
- Oversee public works agreements from draft to execution stages, as well as design reviews and ensure appropriate levels of project coordination

**TC - CN Rail Representative**
- Attend field inspections with TC inspectors
- Respond to inspection findings including additional TC inspections performed
- Organize and assist local track forces in correcting discrepancies and respond to TC letters as required

**Safety and Regulatory Compliance**
- Support the CN team by clarifying regulations and standard processes, address safety concerns and assist with public works components relating to engineering projects
- Facilitate meetings with Design and Construction (D&C) Engineers, weekly meetings with Utility Coordinators and Public Works Officers as well as participate in weekly safety calls
- Support external queries regarding processes and regulations from road authorities, engineering firms, and CN rail property neighbors
- Perform crossing inspections in the field
- Follow up with Track Supervisors concerning any findings in the field
- Oversee utility crossing to review drawing submissions ensuring compliance to CN and regulatory standards, as well as issuance of permits for the Eastern Region

**Working Conditions**

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress. The role requires occasional travel (10%).

**Requirements**:
**Experience**

Project Management
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience in managing employees
- Experience in facilitating meetings and presentations
- Experience in negotiating
- Experience in track design
- Experience in engineering planning and design review

**Education/Certification/Designation**
- Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR) certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent*
- Any designation for these above would be considered as an asset

**Technical Skills/Knowledge**
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of Systems Applications and Products (SAP) and Track Inspection System (TIS)
- Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)*
- Experience in technical engineering reviews
- Any skills/attributes for these above would be considered as an asset
