Description: Janitorial Team Lead - Baseball Facility

Position Overview:
We are working with a premier baseball facility located in Sylvan Lake, dedicated to providing an exceptional experience to players, coaches, and spectators. This state-of-the-art facility offers top-notch training facilities, pristine playing fields, and a vibrant atmosphere for all baseball enthusiasts.

As the Janitorial Team Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance of the facility. You will lead a team of janitorial staff, oversee their work, and coordinate cleaning activities to maintain a safe, sanitary, and inviting environment for players, staff, and visitors. This position requires a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

**Responsibilities**:
Team Leadership:

- Supervise a team of janitorial staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure work schedules are followed.
- Lead by example and promote a positive work environment.

Facility Maintenance:

- Oversee and perform cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility, including locker rooms, restrooms, common areas, and seating areas.
- Monitor and maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials, equipment, and consumables.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas requiring attention and address any maintenance or repair needs promptly.

Cleaning Operations:

- Develop and implement cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality results.
- Coordinate cleaning activities to ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained according to schedule and standards.
- Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures.

Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain cleanliness in accordance with industry standards, local health codes, and facility policies.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate department for resolution.

Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments and facility management to address specific cleaning needs for events, games, or special occasions.
- Coordinate with facility operations staff to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of cleaning tasks.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork among team members and other facility staff.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in janitorial or custodial services are a plus.
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, with at least 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Solid knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials, especially in a large facility or sports venue.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, including knowledge of proper chemical handling and disposal procedures.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the facility's schedule.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Sylvan Lake, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 2 years (required)
- janitorial: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- negative criminal background check (required)
