Angus, Canada Home Care Assistance of Barrie, Ontario Full time

Home Care Assistance is seeking an experienced, high energy PSW (male preferred) to work 30 hours per week here in Barrie (north end). The hours are 2pm-8pm, Monday through Friday. 30 hours weekly (no weekends). This job offers continuity of care with an on-going predictable schedule.

Responsibilities of a Personal Support Worker:

- Establish open communication with clients and their families
- Accompany clients on community outings
- Personal care including bathing, dressing, mobility, personal care, feeding and other services outlined in the care plan
- Companionship
- Medication management

Job Requirements:

- Experience working with physical disabilities, mechanical lifts and transferring
- A passion for the job and helping others
- PWS Certificate
- Current VSC
- Current CPR
- Must have reliable transportation and valid insurance
- Ability to pass a reference check
- A hunger to learn how to best care for your clients
- Physically able to lift and support 50 pounds
