The Financial Analyst is responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts; reconciling intercompany accounts, preparing reports for internal and external uses, assist with year-end working papers and annual budgeting process.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepares reconciliations for banks and various general ledger accounts
- Completion and maintenance of general ledger and financial reports
- Reconcile related intercompany accounts
- Creates reports to support Finance and Operations
- Report on and when necessary, explain variances on manufacturing processes
- Provides backup to other Finance positions as required
- Assists in preparation of departmental and Company budgets
- Assists with physical inventory counts and reconciliation with general ledger
- Assists with year-end working papers
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Controller to meet business needs
- Communicates with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner

**REQUIRED COMPETENCIES**:

- Background in manufacturing methods and process improvement programs is preferred.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Programs, particularly Excel, and MS Navision finance system
- Ability to work and interface with all departments.
- Demonstrates the ability to work well with computers and maintain databases effectively
- Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting policies and procedures is required
- 3-5 years’ experience with G/L accounts and reconciliations

**EDUCATION**:

- Accounting diploma or degree is required
- Accounting designation would be considered an asset
