**Regular Part-Time Position**
Located on the coast of beautiful Georgian Bay, our facility offers the best that both nature and technology can offer. We work in one of Canada’s most modern health care facilities and live in one of Canada’s top outdoor adventure destinations.

Reporting to the Manager of Food Services, the incumbent is responsible for the preparation of patient and cafeteria meals according to meal plans provided by the West Parry Sound Health Centre.

The hours of work are all shifts, including weekends.

**Basic Requirements**
- Enrollment in a Cook apprenticeship program with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities;
- Previous related experience in an institutional environment;
- A demonstrated ability to perform the duties of a cook;
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills;
- A demonstrated commitment to continuing education and to the establishment and maintenance of high standards of food preparation;
- A demonstrated knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures;
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references;
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre: _Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibility, Excellence, and Safety_.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Successful completion of a Cook’s course and valid Cook’s license.

**Compensation & Benefits**

$25.26 per hour to start
