What you’ll do- Program & Project Planning: Develop integrated project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and allocation of resources.- Team Leadership: Lead project teams, including internal and external partners, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.- Risk Management: Guide and support the team to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery.- Partner Engagement: Champion strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members to improve collaboration and project success.- Communication: Maintain clear and open communication channels with project partners, providing regular updates and reports.- Scope Management: Work closely with the business to baseline and monitor project scope and activate change requests as needed.- Financial Management: Produce cost models, maintain budgets and expenditures, making vital adjustments to stay within budget.- Quality Assurance: Ensure project results meet quality standards and best practices.- Governance: Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other artefacts.- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project issues and obstacles to keep projects on track.
What you’ll bring- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) an asset- Experience as a Program & Project Manager with at least 9 years’ experience managing projects with large budget, complex solutions and over multiple years.- Experience overseeing multiple projects within a program structure.- Excellent leadership, communication, management and interpersonal skills- Ability to run effective project meetings, workshops and/or other forums as needed.- Ability to work with partners at different levels including executives.- Ability to work with and coordinate cross functional teams including vendor partners- Ability to support, influence and negotiation project decisions through priority and data- Knowledge of different project management methodologies- Insurance background an asset but not mandatory- Experience with Cloud and Guidewire technologies an asset- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex scenarios.- Proficiency in MS Project, Microsoft Suite(Excel, PowerPoint, Word),Teams and SharePoint- Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
