Automation Production Technician Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the production floor and equipment are maintained in the highest possible state of housekeeping, order, and cleanliness at all times.
- Perform quality checks on parts in production to ensure compliance with customer drawings.
- Learn the safe startup/shut down, operation, and troubleshooting of all automation and robotic cells, high-speed presses, and injection molding machines.
- Confirm all safety systems are functioning correctly before machinery and robotic cells are started.
- Document production, maintenance, and scrap information accurately.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and quality checks at defined intervals to ensure only 100% defect-free parts are shipped to our customers.
- Complete projects as assigned aimed at increasing skills, and improving housekeeping and/or equipment performance.
- Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Learn the safe operation of lift trucks and overhead hoists and other material-handling equipment to carry out material handling and machine changeovers.

Job Requirements:

- High school diploma with emphasis on technical courses
- Solid mechanical aptitude, curiosity & problem solving abilities.
- Positive, pleasant attitude, able to work individually or as part of a team.
- A passionate desire to learn, grow and advance in the technology sector.
- Able to work 12-hour continental shifts, rotating days and nights as well as overtime when required
- Willing to enroll in and complete while working, a formal millwright apprenticeship commencing one year after starting employment with Adventec ie: “Earn while you learn”
- Reliable transportation
