Bookkeeper

Trip support is an OTA company in Canada and United states. As a member of Corporate Central Finance - The Americas, the Reconciliations Accountant will prepare bank reconciliations for teams across brands in the Trip Support (USA and Canada) Online Travel Agency business as well as other reconciliation projects as assigned. Duties include checking the day-to-day transactions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform a high volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy
- Day to day check the sales amount of operations team members team members of discrepancies identified to ensure quick resolution
- Check the mark up and sales of each item.
- Compare the sales amount with the receivable amount by payment gateways.
- Day to day check the trust account and sales amount in the trust, payment gateway and original amount with the operation team.
- Day to day check the BSP and the sales on BSP.
- Day to day check the commission receivable from the Vacation suppliers.
- Learn new internal accounting systems, processes, and procedures quickly
- Track status of all bank reconciliations and communicate them with commercial finance team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards.
- Take on other duties as assigned
**Experience & Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent, including courses in accounting (post-secondary education is desirable)
- 4+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or other applicable finance related work
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (desirable) and Microsoft Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess strong initiative to resolve issues and pursue opportunities as they are identified
- High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change and a pressured work environment
- Proven time management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
