**Job description - Accounts Payable Staff**

**Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada (On-site)**

**The Role**

This position will not only provide exposure and hands-on responsibilities within the finance team, but you’ll also gain valuable insight into business operations while working in a stimulating and supportive environment.

Your work will vary from week to week, and will include a variety of finance tasks including:

- **Invoice Processing**:

- Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Enter invoice details into the accounts payable system and ensure timely approval.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoice processing.
- Assist in the preparation of payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
- Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time, adhering to payment terms.
- **Vendor Management**:

- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, invoice inquiries, and other related issues.
- Update and maintain vendor records, ensuring accurate information is on file.
- Perform vendor reconciliation to verify and resolve discrepancies between vendor statements and internal records.
- **Record Maintenance**:

- Maintain organized and accurate records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
- Assist in reconciling accounts payable system, and QuickBooks ledger and resolve any discrepancies.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Provide general administrative support to the accounts payable team as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Depending on the time of the year, you may be doing a variety of tasks. Flexibility and a knack for multitasking are critical to the success of this position.

**Skills & Experience Required**
- Experience using QuickBooks.
- Speak read and write English fluently
- Highly professional, polite, and polished with a positive attitude
- 2 years accounting related experience within a business environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize & accomplish tasks in a timely fashion
- Strong written communication skills

**Salary: 40K - 45K**

**Work Location - Burlington (In person)**

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
