We have an exciting opportunity for a **Wastewater Operator** to join our **Anodizing **team in Langley, BC.

This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.

We will fully train on site. No previous experience is required but would be an asset

This shift will be 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Control flow and processing of water/wastewater, residuals, and finished water/effluent, operating valves and gates either manually or by remote control
- Monitor gauges, meters and control panels and observe variations in operating conditions.
- Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests and analyses, interpreting test results to determine processing requirements
- Ensure plant records are accurate and up to date
- Start and stop pumps, engines and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sampling of all aspects of the wastewater utility systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform related security, safety and administrative procedures involving chemical hazards, personal protective equipment, general health and safety procedures and emergency preparedness
- Undertake routine repairs to water distribution and wastewater treatment and collection systems
- Maintain shift logs
- Other duties, as assigned

**Knowledge/Experience and Skills**:

- Post-secondary education, training and/or certifications in any or all of the following will be considered: Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, Wastewater Treatment (not mandatory but having this will be an asset)
- Good to have experience in manufacturing, collecting and testing water samples but not mandatory
- Ability to read water meters, keep maintenance records and update plans
- Good mechanical aptitude
- MS Teams (preferred)
