**Quality Assurance Inspector**
- Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will provide required support to both internal and external resources to ensure all requirements are met in a satisfactory and timely manner.
**Responsibilities**
**will include but are not limited to**:
- Complete regular audits throughout the shift, ensuring the quality of Omex parts
- Verify dimensions
- Ensure proper identification of product
- Sign off on first-offs
- Report products or processes found to be non-conforming
- Provide assistance to Production personnel concerning any quality related issue including gauge use and training & inspections
- Ensure that checking fixtures and inspection gauges are available to operators
- Complete first-off/last-off inspections for processes which have changed to a different part or had major tooling changes
- Perform in process inspection, as outlined on the Control Plan
- Complete Customer Specific performance testing & analysis, as outlined on the Control Plan
- Document all inspection results to comply with Customer and Omex requirements
- Issue hold tags for any discrepant/suspect material or parts
- Assist with PPAP submissions.
**Qualifications**:
- Thorough knowledge of using gauges and various measuring & testing equipment
- Ability to interpret drawings and engineering specifications
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Working knowledge of Shopedge or similar MRP system
- Understanding of Quality systems and inspection
- Ability to work independently
- Work in an organized, professional and cooperative manner
- Communicate effectively
- Give and receive instructions accurately.
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize many different tasks and meet deadlines in a lean manufacturing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of associates
- Proficiency with measuring equipment and (SPC) Statistical Process Control
- Solid understanding of overall engineering concepts (Quality standards, APQP, FMEA and PPAP)
- Knowledge of TS16949 & ISO 14001 automotive quality standards required
- Knowledge of blue print reading and interpretation of geometric dimensioning
- Project Management, would be beneficial.
