Café Server

_**Stockyards YKF**_ is located in the departure lounge at the Waterloo Region International Airport with flights flying across Canada and internationally. We are a busy quick service restaurant and retail store serving locally roasted coffee and crafted beer with varying hours depending on the flight schedules.

**Responsibilities**:
Greet customers with a welcoming and friendly demeanor

Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent service

Take orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system

Process payments and handle cash transactions

Prepare quick service food items following all Health and Safety regulations

Prepare and serve food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages) promptly

Always maintain safe and clean environment

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation

Adhere to all health & Safety regulations as well as all Transport Canada and Regional regulations.

Assist in opening and closing procedures

**Requirements**:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment

Able to obtain security clearance with Transport Canada and the Region of Waterloo (*Please note that you must have lived in Canada for 5 years to be eligible*)

Flexibility to work various shifts including very early mornings, early afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays and in the event of a delay with any of the flights

Strong multitasking and time management skills

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must have (or be able to obtain) your Smart Serve certification & Food Safety Handling Course

Reliable transportation to and from the airport as bus service is limited and the hours of the shifts don’t often line up

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.90 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
