PAYROLL SUPERVISOR

**OBJECTIVE**

We’re seeking an experienced payroll professional for a Payroll Supervisor role for our client.

Your role will be pivotal in overseeing the payroll team, ensuring processes are executed accurately and promptly. You’ll strategize work plans, estimates, and prioritize tasks to enhance team performance, collaborating with the Payroll Manager to establish standards and efficient approaches for payroll operations.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee payroll staff.
- Create work schedules for adequate coverage.
- Manage payroll workload to meet operational needs.
- Supervise payroll assistants to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, and tax filings.
- Review payroll account reconciliations.
- Enhance payroll policies and procedures.
- Analyze and resolve payroll issues.
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with regulations.
- Address payroll production issues.
- Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Assist in setting annual team objectives.
- Escalate potential service issues to the Payroll Manager.

**PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional designation.
- Experience in US payroll.
- Minimum 3 years of solid payroll experience.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to adapt to high-volume environments.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Understanding of relevant local, state, and federal laws.
- Effective team supervision and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to motivate, develop, and lead a team.
