Responsible to the Scheduling Manager, the clerk manages the day-to-day coordination of employee schedules in the Client Care Department, ensures accurate reporting for payroll, while adhering to the mission, vision, and philosophy of Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre (KRRC). This position requires creation of schedules for a minimum of 100 staff members with varying schedules and shift lengths in a unionized setting under tight deadlines.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of post-secondary education with a focus in Business Management, Office Management or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience creating schedules in a 24/7 operations with multiple shifts in a unionized environment.
- Experience in an administrative support role preferred.
- Experience in a health/rehabilitation care setting with a variety of personalities and behaviors is an asset.
- Possess analytical and critical thinking skills that will enhance problem solving and decision-making.
- Adaptable to a changing environment.
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of general computer use.
- Working knowledge of computerized scheduling/payroll software.
- Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in approaching issues/concerns and implements best practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to be self-directed self-motivated.
- Promote and enhance relationship building.
- Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a large, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Under the direction of the Scheduling Manager, the Scheduling Clerk collaborates with the Nursing Supervisor, Program Managers, Director of Care, and Area Supervisors to administer staffing objectives for Client Care locations.
- On a daily basis, organizes, coordinates, schedules and communicates with staff in accordance with collective agreements and established policies and procedures.
- Receives and processes schedule requests, allocates shift assignments, and prepares and adjusts daily schedules to meet operational needs.
- Performs timekeeping and scheduling duties, such as receiving and entering employee information and requests into computerized scheduling system.
- Compiles data and statistics regarding staffing information as requested.
- Liaises with the Scheduling Manager and communicates process or systems problems and works with Human Resources and payroll to resolve these problems.
- Liaises with Program Managers concerning unit/area Human Resources including staff availability and utilization of resources.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Salary**: From $18.07 per hour
