**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Plusgrade is seeking an experienced and bilingual People Operations Specialist to join its Talent Success team. As a People Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our people operations function, including onboarding, payroll, global mobility, employee engagement, performance management, policy, and compliance. You will serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and requests and act as a resource for both managers and employees on HR policies and processes. You will play an integral role in providing outstanding HR support to our Plusgrade employees and help us support a global employee base.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Operations and Partnerships, you will be responsible for the following:

- Act as a resource to both managers and employees on HR policies and processes.
- Partner closely with other People functions and People Partners (HRBP's) to execute HR operational processes and services with a focus on employee experience and data integrity.
- Respond to a wide variety of employee questions and concerns while maintaining strict confidentiality. Research and resolve issues as appropriate.
- Assist with and maintain policy documentation, perform regular data audits to drive continuous improvement across HR and provide recommendations or corrective action.
- Lead our onboarding and offboarding programs to ensure employees have an amazing experience joining or leaving our organization.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining our Employee Trackers.
- Support employees’ life-cycle events, prepare letters, and process HR transactions in our HRIS & Payroll systems.
- Work closely with the payroll/finance team to ensure accurate processing of all employee payroll changes.
- Reconciling HR credit card, and vendor invoices on a monthly basis.
- Capture, analyze, and report on people trends from data gathered from 30-60-90 day check ins, Exit Interviews, business conversations, vacation utilization, T&D, etc. Identify opportunities to analyze people trends.
- Organize and maintain employee electronic files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Document, maintain and communicate core HR processes. Look for opportunities for improvements.
- Identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging HR systems to automate and eliminate manual work where possible.
- Coordinate corporate gift card programs and anniversary awards.
- Support the organization’s performance management and development plan program.
- Assist in the immigration and visa processes that support global hiring in our 6 international offices. Track contract and work permit expiry dates and proactively work with the managers to obtain approvals for extensions.
- Support in building and maintaining a strong organizational culture, as well as continuously improving the employee experience.
- Promote continuous improvement of initiatives and activities within the team to support effectiveness and efficiency of daily team operations.
- Assist with HR-related project work where required.

**YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a people operations or HR administrative role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and decision-making skills, with a solution-oriented approach and sensitivity to employee needs
- Experience implementing best practice HR programs, specifically with onboarding, policies and compliance, and performance management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with HR software and systems, including HRIS and payroll systems.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- Effective time management/prioritization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Creative problem solver and critical thinker.
- Passion for customer service.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
