Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, this position supports the Tavistock team by ensuring compliance to established accountability practices and processes. This position is a key element in assisting with the delivery of the Tavistock business plan as it relates to the control of inventory with the Tavistock supply chain Interaction between warehouse and delivery. This position also provides Maestro Software and Hardware support. Liaison between Warehouse, Production, Demand planning and Distribution. Facilities training understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.

How you will make contributions that matter:

- Responsible for Inventory Counts, and adherence to all Corporate Policies regarding inventory control
- Analyze and resolve period end inventory variances
- Monitors and reports on product disposals each period
- Monitors and reports on inventory shrink each period
- Involved in the development of inventory procedures
- Monitors inventory processes for compliance to established procedures
- Participates in Warehouse Team Meetings and conference calls
- Various period end reports as required
- Other duties as required
- Required to work over period end weekends
- Various days and hours of work will be required
- Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standards
- Provide Support to the Plant Accountant

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

- Post secondary education (or equivalent) in General Business/Administration an asset; prior accounting experience as asset
- Experience within Warehouse/Shipping and receiving environments
- Working knowledge of Computer Systems (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Maestro system
- High level of self-motivation and initiative/ability to contribute to the development of a sound management team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency and dependability in current position
- Forklift trained
