Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Director Health Services, the incumbent is responsible for the Maples Pediatric Surgical slates.

**Experience**:

- 3-5 years previous related experience in hospital utilization and surgical informatics required. Previous experience in pediatric operating room and pre-admission environment required. Knowledge of hospital operations, health care programs and patient care delivery systems preferred.
- Incumbent is required to be self-motivated with excellent problem-solving, good judgment, organization, communications, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Must be able to function with limited guidance, supervision and monitoring.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards required.
- Certificate in Health services administration, surgical health informatics or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience as recognized by the Centre.

**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:

- Enrollment in pursuing recognized health services administration certificate or equivalent of education and experience as recognized by the Centre desired.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to cope with unexpected interruptions in order to meet challenging deadlines.
- Good physical and mental health required.

**Other**:

- Experience with surgical workflow, process and nomenclature.
- Ensuring seamless scheduling and facilitating efficient use of OR time.
- Maintaining communication between Maples Surgical Centre and providers for Pediatric.
- Develop and maintain data base and reports.
