- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a neat and organized environment.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors in various areas of the facility.
- Perform snow removal duties during winter months.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace trash bags as needed.
- Clean and disinfect restroom facilities, restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, and windowsills, to maintain a dust-free environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, such as break rooms, conference rooms, and lobbies.
- Perform maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and reporting any repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Assist in setting up rooms for meetings, events, and other functions as required.
- Monitor building security and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate channels.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and efficient cleaning schedule.
- Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Adhere to environmentally friendly practices for cleaning and waste disposal.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Cover day shift occasionally as needed during absences, vacation time, etc.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
- Excellent communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and the ability to respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate occasional overtime or special cleaning needs.
- Respectful and courteous demeanour when interacting with colleagues, visitors, and occupants

**Working Conditions**:

- This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and some physical strain is to be expected.
- May need to work in various weather conditions when outdoor maintenance is required.
- May involve occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate special events or cleaning needs.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
