**Job Summary**

We are currently seeking a hands-on **Production Supervisor** to oversee our second shift production team at our Cambridge, Ontario location.

**Role Overview**

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will provide leadership to the 2nd shift production department. You will work with the department lead to ensure that safety, quality and production goals are met for the production team. You also will work closely with all departments in the facility, including Shipping, Warehousing, Receiving, Maintenance, etc.

Your key goal is to oversee and manage all production goals and needs by developing an efficient work force in all aspects of the production department. You will focus on people and processes, acting as a resource and catalyst to ensure both are moving forward and productive. You'll invest the largest portion of your time in driving improvements in performance and process.

This is a key role for the company where you will assume day-to-day leadership of the manufacturing department. You will act as a resource for that department, ensuring peak productivity and performance in process manufacturing and packaging. To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have solid supervisory experience in a high velocity manufacturing environment transforming raw materials into finished goods. You'll need hands-on experience leading production with a proven ability to develop and implement Lean Manufacturing (or similar) process improvements.

**Requirements**:
To good fit for this role you should have:

- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 5+ years of supervisory experience
- A safety-conscious mindset
- Discipline and performance management
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and WMS; familiarity with AS400, and JDE is a plus
- Experience monitoring and analyzing plant operations by utilizing spreadsheets, such as Excel, or database reports
- Knowledge of Lean, World Class Manufacturing or similar principles
- Strong ability as a people manager, with the skill to motivate and train a team
- A results orientation and a bias toward action
- An analytical approach to problem solving
- A professional aptitude in presentation skills
- The ability to document and maintain SOPs, and to train the team to do the same
- The ability to safely and efficiently drive a counterbalance forklift would be a definite asset
