As a Project (Studies) Manager having a firm client focus, with the ability to relate to clients and respond to their requirements is a must. The nature of our work requires both divergent and convergent thinking - that is combining innovative approaches with meeting scope, budget, schedule and specifically working to deadlines.

Project (Studies) Manager support our overall business development efforts for creating and building a regional presence while leveraging off our extensive global process engineering experience and expertise.

We are open to discussing you being located in our Toronto, Burlington, Vancouver, or Calgary offices, working on a hybrid model; or remotely if you live outside of these locations. Business travel may be required given the scope of the role.

About the role:

- Overseeing the successful execution of studies / projects to ensure safety, quality, timeliness and profitability.
- Leading regular reviews and audits of study timelines, budgets and resources to identify areas of concern and resolve issues.
- Conducting weekly reviews to determine on-going project schedules and budget.
- Assisting in establishing project strategy and monitor critical path schedules and deliverables.
- Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with management, clients, team members, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensuring that study and project risks are adequately addressed and communicated to the leadership team.
- For larger complex projects, reviewing execution plans to achieve project milestones and to minimize costs for several different project areas.
- Complying with all Ausenco minerals corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.

About you

You are a proven strategic business partner looking for your next challenge and can offer the following skills and experience:

- Relevant experience in mining, oil and gas, industrial, energy and/or utilities.
- Previously worked on a client/owner's team or been a study manager, project manager, project engineer, engineering manager or lead engineer on several projects/studies
- Experience in the development, delivery and operation of studies and EPC / EPCM projects is an asset
- Excellent written technical and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Willingness to travel when required
