Ore Control Technician

The Ore Control Technician position is a site-based position at the Elk Gold Mine Site located off Highway 97C in British Columbia.

We are looking for a dedicated Ore Control Technician to join our team. The Ore Control Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining ore grade control at the bench level. This individual must be able to traverse uneven rocky terrain, work in all weather conditions and have a geology based background.

The Ore Control Technician will work closely with the production geologist as well as the excavation, drill and blast crews.

THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION.

THIS IS NOT A CAMP POSITION. THERE IS NO OPPORTUNITY FOR TRAVEL PAY, RELOCATION PAY OR FLY IN FLY OUT. THIS POSITION IS BEST SUITED FOR PERSON LIVING IN THE OKANAGAN AND NICOLA REGIONS.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. STUDENTS, GIT AND OTHER RELATED FIELDS WELCOME.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct field investigations to collect soil and rock samples for analysis
- Assist in the preparation and collection of sample materials for both on and offsite processing
- Utilize Geology software tools for data reporting
- Maintain accurate records of field observations
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Geology, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Certification or willingness to obtain relevant industry certifications

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
