We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. The Health and Safety Coordinator will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of safety within our organization. They will collaborate with various departments and locations, conduct safety inspections and provide training to employees. This position will require travelling as we have different locations across Northern Ontario.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the development and implementation of health and safety programs and procedures.
- Maintain records of inspection reports, meeting minutes, risk assessments, accidents/incidents/near misses, and health and safety communications.
- Review existing safety procedures and risk assessments to ensure adherence with standards.
- Perform workplace audits and make recommendation and corrective actions.
- Ensure H&S Training records are accurately maintained, current and readily accessible.
- Receives incident forms and initiates investigation and determines actions for prevention. Responsible for WSIB and submitting forms.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with the corporation’s objectives.

Education and Qualifications
- A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Thorough knowledge and experience of hazard identification, auditing, risk assessments, ergonomics assessments with a proven ability to recognize and evaluate occupational health and safety hazards and recommend effective control measures.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Valid G driver's license with a clear driver's abstract and access to a vehicle to respond to emergency situations.
- Experience in the mining or industrial sector is an asset.
