**Vice Principal & Success Coach**

Richmond Hill Montessori Private School (RHMS) is excited to announce that we have a rare and amazing permanent employment opportunity for a School Vice Principal. Join our school community and work with highly dedicated teachers and support staff in providing an optimal learning experience for our students.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide guidance, support and constructive feedback to teachers through mentorship and coaching; promoting continuous improvement in planning, teaching, classroom management, assessment strategies, parent engagement and student growth.
- Conduct curriculum updates, classroom visits, and unit plan reviews to support the growth and development of our innovative elementary program.
- Review and continuously grow our effective Montessori Program, guiding teachers with best practices to help students meet their full potential and transition into an enriched elementary program.
- Participate in Student Progress Meetings and support the implementation of accommodations, modifications or required support for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and students to provide the best education for each student and establish a strong home to school connection. This includes facilitating meetings with all parties to provide guidance and support.
- Chair all academic and extracurricular events, clubs, and competitions.
- Enforce, implement and monitor school-wide behavioral expectations and policies including reviewing and investigating incident reports, monitoring attendance trends, and addressing behaviour or safety issues.
- Document incident report findings, schedule follow-up meetings and maintain records of disciplinary actions taken to ensure that the Student Code of Conduct is upheld.
- Administer Teacher Manual and Student Handbook updates and amendments, including timetables, corresponding schedules, and procedure changes for Executive review.
- Support training for new and existing staff on various technology platforms and Student Code of Conduct.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors’ degree (Honours).
- Bachelor of Education (P/J/I/S).
- Hold Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching in an elementary classroom is preferred.
- Principal’s Qualifications (PQP) Preferred.
- Academic administration experience in a private or public elementary school is preferred.

- Strong leadership skills that are fair and consistent
- Encourages and maintains an optimal learning environment that is safe, inclusive, positive, collaborative and innovative.

**Additional Information**:
**Start Date**:May 20th

**Hours**: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Additional hours will be required for school events.

**Compensation Availability**:
**Benefit Program**: Health Spending Account for Dental/Health Benefits/Medical/Life $4200.

**Group RRSP Plan**: RRSP program with employer matching 10%.
