**The Opportunity**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Instructing persons with disabilities/mental health barriers, or youth, on basic repair and woodworking skills with demonstrations, shop sessions, and hands-on project work.
- Repairing, refinishing or repainting furniture donated to Goodwill to enhance resale value.
- Assessing furniture inventory to determine how they can be repaired and sold in Goodwill stores.
- Making creative decisions for how to refurbish furniture in order to achieve the best aesthetics and increase likelihood of resale.
- Preparing items for sale and transport to various Goodwill locations.
- Working with the warehouse and outlet teams to identify furniture pieces to be refurbished as well as ensuring accurate and secure delivery of finished furniture to stores.
- Working with store management to collect feedback and tailor finished pieces to improve sales and better meet the needs and wants of our customers.
- Operating power and/or pneumatic tools, table saws, sanding, etc.
- Ensuring a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times.
- Providing assistance to Goodwill Operations to assess and repair store and warehouse
- A certificate, diploma, or degree in carpentry or demonstrated expertise in the field of woodwork, cabinet making, and furniture repair.
- Journeyman certificate is an asset.
- 1 year of experience instructing and training others in carpentry or related field.
- Experience with power and/or pneumatic tools, table saws, sanding, etc. is an asset.
- Deliver amazing customer service by going above and beyond for all Goodwill stakeholders.
- Demonstrate teamwork and engage fellow Team Members in contributing to Goodwill’s mission & core purpose.
- Maintain an open and honest attitude while making moral decisions.
