**Key Role & Responsibilities**:

- Analyze drawings and specifications
- Understand contractual terms and conditions
- Maintain relationships with estimating team of our large builder customers, providing pricing on non-contract items as requested
- Approve all builder finishing carpentry Purchase Orders/contracts received for accounting, verifying all contract and special pricing is correct and requesting and tracking PO revisions, if necessary
- Assemble accurate and clear customer finishing carpentry estimates and proposals in a timely manner using Elegant Woodwork pricing guidelines
- Prepare accurate cabinetry estimates using Elegant Woodwork pricing guidelines
- Use sales tactics to upsell customers on products and services within both company divisions
- Ensure finishing carpentry estimates are signed as approval by customers prior to placing material orders
- Ensure deposits on finishing carpentry estimates are paid prior to placing material orders
- Ensure initial deposit is paid on cabinetry estimates prior to releasing details to design team
- Prepare an accurate material take off for every finishing carpentry project
- Ensure material quote is received from supplier within 5 business days of takeoff receipt
- Prepare accurate labour Purchase Orders for every finishing carpentry project no later than 1 week prior to start date
- Manage and document change orders on all finishing carpentry projects
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate for lowest cost on products
- Work directly with suppliers on issues related to material quality, warranty, short shipments, late deliveries, and pricing errors
- Professional, courteous treatment of all customers

**Knowledge and Skill Set**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential construction in a similar or related position
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent math skills
- Works well individually and as part of a team
- Computer skills (word, excel, & outlook as a minimum)
- Ability to behave decisively and follow protocol & procedures with precise accuracy
- Take initiative to identify issues within the company and inform superiors or look for solutions
- Ability to grasp complex concepts and to take and follow direction with accuracy and efficiency
- Pay attention to detail and possess good judgment
