Description:
As a Research I, you will be working with research teams which are generating and disseminating new knowledge that assists with advancing the understanding of health disciplines and various health and medical concerns. Working under the guidance of the principal investigator, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting research documents, collecting and reviewing a variety of information related to the study, and monitoring study compliance. You will also assist with the recruitment of study participants and initiate consenting of study and/or trial participants and may complete lab work to support research activities.

**Required Qualifications**:
Diploma or degree in a health or science related field. Registration with applicable professional association or college where required.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
2-5 years Clinical trial or Clinical research experience. Highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic with proven problem-solving abilities. Demonstrates ability to take initiative and work in a team environment as well as independently with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be flexible, multitask and work well under pressure. Effectively coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Work efficiently and in a professional and ethical manner in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, GCP and ICH guidelines, SOPs and Policies. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills. Precise documentation skills. Previous/current experience working with acute stroke patients and/or working within the emergency department is an asset. Experience/training in venipuncture is an asset. Knowledge of MS Word & Excel, Gmail, Data Entry programs. Experience with Netcare & Connect Care an asset.
