Surrey, Canada SWR Plumbing & Drain Service Ltd Full time

SWR Drain Service is currently hiring an experienced, organized, and driven **Service Manager **who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to oversee and manage the technicians’ team. This position reports to the CEO.

**Responsibilities**:

- Hire, train and supervise field technicians
- Perform operational analysis and recommend modifications to increase effectiveness and efficiency
- Work closely with the dispatch team by answering their technical questions, and assisting them with assigning the right technician for the jobs
- Assist with implementing policies and guidelines, workplace safety, and job reporting
- Coordinate safety training, oversee and report any safety concerns and incidents
- Work with the in house mechanic to ensure the shop and yard are organized, equipment are in the right place, and tracked
- Supervise and spot checks on job sites and overseeing that the crews are well stocked with supplies
- Make sure that the teams are keeping the vans, office and works yard in an organized manner
- Be able to work 8-10 hours a day

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 10 years of experience, with 5 years in a supervisory role, in a plumbing and drainage industry
- Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by technical courses related to the work
- Additional training/coursework in supervision/management
- Knowledge of standard and accepted safety regulations and standards for safe working practices relating to the plumbing and drainage
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with the team
- Budget management skills and ability to determine cost effective solutions
- Strong organizational and effective time management skills
- Flexibility in managing changing priorities and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Competent in use of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong safety record and focus on safe work practices essential
- Ability to communicate effectively, maintain positive public relations and excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Strong decision-making capabilities
- Ability to work in a team environment displaying leadership, positive work ethic, integrity, and the ability to follow direction effectively
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ License

**Certifications**:

- First-aid, confined space, fall arrest, groundbreaking, and other tickets will be beneficial but can also be obtained later. This will be a salaried position Five days a week which may include some weekends.
- **Salary**:$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
