We are currently hiring for a **Temporary Full Time (1 year) Permanency Worker-Recruitment and Resources**

The **Permanency Worker **will perform their duties with a high degree of personal and professional integrity, while building collaborative relationships and partnerships with all individuals based on mutual respect.

The **Permanency Worker **is responsible for ensuring all duties are carried out in alignment with the mission and vision of the Society with a commitment of social justice.

**JOB DUTIES**
- Collaborates in the development and implementation of an ongoing recruitment strategy with the intent of recruiting Resource caregiver applicants that represent the diversity of our children and youth.
- To respond to placement resource inquiries, and to select suitable placement resources for children requiring placement and to serve as a liaison to those providing care to the child.
- Conducts PRIDE sessions and provides support to PRIDE individuals/families completing their online PRIDE training through OACAS.
- To assess, support, and review Resource and/or group homes and/or OPR’s to ensure they meet Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (Ministry) licensing requirements and accreditation standards and agency policies.
- To complete SAFE home studies in accordance with standards and guidelines.
- To maintain current records, files, recordings and contact logs in accordance with current and legislation requirements, and in accordance with Ministry standards and

Agency policies.
- To assist in the development and retention of new Resource homes by providing a high level of support and training.
- Actively participates and attends prepared for regular supervision and is able to present data and stats related to recruitment interest and initiatives in an organized manner.
- Plans and schedules duties in an organized manner to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
- Manages time to ensure availability for planned unit coverage responsibilities and minimizes unplanned interruptions to planned coverage.
- To provide or assist with Foster Parent training or recognition events for Foster parents.
- Coordinates work with supervisor, and follows the direction of the supervisor after consultation when required.
- Completes mandatory training and participates in ongoing agency training
- Demonstrates leadership and a commitment to the principles of anti-oppressive practices and anti-racism based on justice, fairness, equity, respect of the beliefs and traditions of others.
- Complies with agency Health and Safety policies and the Ontario Health and Safety Act, and regulations.
- Committed to the Society’s mission and vision.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS**
- Master of Social Work, Master’s degree, or Bachelor of Social Work, in related field with direct relevant experience.
- Lived experience as a member of an equity seeking group is preferred
- 1-5 years’ of experience as a Children Resource Worker in a child welfare agency.
- Experience with foster parent recruitment activities an asset.
- Effective time management skills, completing administrative and assigned tasks, in a timely manner and within specified deadlines.
- Effective presentation skills for recruitment presentations and the delivery of training to foster parents.
- Demonstrates a commitment to, and work ethic in leadership and role models behaviours that demonstrates the Mission and Vision of the Catholic Children’s Aid

Society.
- Bilingual French/English is an asset.
- Knowledge and commitment to anti-oppressive/anti-racist philosophy.

**Additional Requirements for this Position**:

- Computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office and proprietary child welfare systems and programs.
- Able to affirm and integrate in the delivery of services the Society values which reflect the Agency’s Catholic faith, heritage, culture and traditions.
- Bilingual French/English is an asset.
