SEC maintains its head office in Newmarket and provides public service signature expertise for immigrants, newcomers, early learning and development, Family Justice Service, Career and Labour market integration through programs such as Supervised Access, EarlyOn Child & Family Centres, Welcome Centre for Immigrant Services-Newmarket and several Before & After School and Licensed Childcare Programs.
The successful applicant should have proficient verbal and written skills in English and Farsi. Any additional language would be an asset. This position is hybrid and will require time in our Newmarket Head Office.

**The Opportunity**

The Assignment Coordinator - Interpretation/Translation provides service coordination by implementing scheduling systems, procedures and policies; monitoring appointments and resolving issues related to service delivery. The Assignment Coordinator - Interpretation/Translation maintains a rapport with internal communication teams, external government and business customers and individual purchasers, as well as establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with contract translators and interpreters. The scope of work covers the spectrum of on-site, phone and video interpretation booking, message relay coordination, personal document and corporate translation; and maintenance and refreshing of translation and interpreter rosters. Expectations include compliance with all relevant and applicable procedures. Working directly with Accounting, Assignment Coordinator - Interpretation/Translation compiles all documentation required for service-oriented payables and receivables.

**Key Job Responsibilities**

- Prepare and submit reports as requested on weekly, monthly or yearly basis
- Actively participate as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Collaborate with interdepartmental staff to ensure deliverables are met
- Prioritize tasks to ensure completion of group deliverables
- Focus on customer service
- Articulate information-based opinion in a manner that provides benefit to the corporation
- Adapt to changing priorities and develop work plans in order to meet the needs of the customer or team and support commitment to deliverables
- Self-manage within defined parameters
- Maintain corporate standards of confidentiality, non-harassment and conflict of interest policies
- Achieve high percentage of deliverables while managing external variables beyond control
- Use advanced technology tools to schedule appointments, develop spreadsheets and compose word documents
- Organize data and correspondence in a concise systematic manner
- Prepare and file reports as required

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years administration, coordination and customer service experience
- Experience in translation, interpretation and project management would be an asset
- Working knowledge of administration practices
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset
- Highly‐developed computer skills (MS Office, Windows), as well as advanced technology tools to schedule appointments, maintain databases, develop spreadsheets and compose word documents

**Experience**:
